Chemo Duck rings the end of treatment bell

“I just wanted to say how grateful we are as family for the Chemo Ducks and the impact it has on children’s lives fighting cancer.
Our 10 year old son completed his 3 and a half years of treatment this month, and the Chemo Duck is officially part of the family since we received him. We like to call him ‘Peggy’, (our son was very, very scared of Peg – a chemo injection, and every time he would receive Peg he used to give a tight hug to Peggy hence the name). Peggy has been to every single appointment, blood transfusion, outings and road trips. Our son rang his end of treatment bell earlier this month and was very adamant about Peggy ringing the bell too and cutting his own cake, which he did!” – Fatima, mum

Give A Duck now support over 50 UK hospitals, supplying stock of Chemo Ducks and duck outfits to help comfort and support children facing cancer.

Did you know? ‘HQ’ is located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire – just one office from which all orders are packed and shipped from.

There are just two members of staff at Give A Duck Elaine and Eve, who manage every area of the charity from fundraising to finance, events to marketing, family support, charity development and more!

We also have an office volunteer (Marg) who carefully prepares duck registration packs including sibling duck requests from families, plus Chemo Duck and outfit orders from hospitals every week) – more on Marg soon! Thankfully our army of volunteers extend when we need extra support at events.

We may only be a small charity, but we are mighty…

Your donations and fundraising helps Give A Duck continue to grow and develop to support over 1,200 families facing childhood cancer every year, thank you!
