As Harry’s Godfather I witnessed first-hand the incredible impact Give A Duck has not only on the child directly impacted but siblings, friends, and relatives. I remember clearly Harry teaching me about his treatment using his Chemo Duck to demonstrate. It’s amazing that something so simple can be so empowering and help to remove fear and anxiety. I am passionate to help ensure all children who receive a devastating diagnosis have the opportunity to benefit from this amazing educational tool. Give A Duck can help to empower children to understand their treatment which is incredibly important – it’s human nature to fear what we do not understand.
As an Operations Director of an international business, I have a lot of experience in working through issues, continuous improvement and setting strategic goals which I believe I can use to help Give A Duck achieve its objectives. Knowing you are helping children, their families and friends deal with an incredibly difficult time in their life is extremely rewarding, I also hope our work helps healthcare professionals providing frontline care as they deserve all our support.
I am married to my best friend Jill for over twenty years. We have two amazing children, Erin (who is training to be a Children’s Nurse) and Rhys.
